Jaeger’s process-orientated form for drawing has associations to Action Painting and can be compared with meditative performance. The brush touches upon different types of paper in varied ways and with different tempi. The drawings are improvisations. The improvisation is mostly intuitive, but this does not mean that strategy does not come into play. There is kind of unseen structure, a system for the organization. There is a certain form and formality in her drawings; the choice of brush mark in the building-up or accumulation of the tonality or clang. The colours hold subtle differences that make up the clang.
The drawings are layered onto specially constructed tables. Parts of the works beneath can be seen through the works above. It all depends on the light and the position of the viewer in relationship to the work. The relations and dynamics within the different series is one thing, but also important is the activation of the space between the spectator and the work.
Trudi Jaeger is a British artist, living in Bergen, Western Norway. She was educated at St. Martins and Goldsmith’s College, University of London.

Lo stile della Jaeger orientato al processo ha legami con l’ Action Painting e può essere comparato alla performance meditativa.
I colpi di pennello su diversi tipi di carta, con diverse tecniche e diversi tempi. I dipinti sono pura ed istintiva improvvisazione, il che non vuol dire che “nel gioco non c’è una strategia”.
C’è una sorta di struttura invisibile, un sistema organizzativo. Nei suoi dipinti si notano un stile e stilismo ben definito: la scelta delle pennellate nella
creazione delle tonalità.
I vari dipinti sono sovrapposti per mezzo di tavole appositamente costruite. Porzioni dei dipinti posti nella parte posteriore possono essere intraviste attraverso il dipinto nella parte anteriore. Dipende dai giochi di luce e dalla posizione dell’ osservatore rispetto all’ opera. Le relazioni e le dinamiche tra le diverse serie è una cosa, ma è anche importante lo spazio tra lo spettatore e l’ opera.
Trudi Jaeger è un’ artista Britannica, risiedente in Bergen, Norvegia Occidentale.
Ha studiato presso St. Martins and Goldsmith’s College, Università di Londra.
