IVO DE FIGUEIREDO

Ivo de Figueiredo (b 1966) is a Norwegian historian, author and literature critic. He has published a number of books on Fascism/World War II, biographies, literature history and true crime. In 2002 he was awarded the National Brage Prize for his biography Free Man, and his biography on the playwrite Henrik Ibsen, The Man and the Mask (2010), is published in several languages, an English edition soon to be published by Yale UP. He contributes regularly as a non-fiction critic in Norwegian newspapers, and is currently working on a book on his Goan familys migration history. Ivo de Figueiredo works as a freelance, based in Oslo, Norway.
