Torill Nøst works in black and white photography. Earlier she produced photographs on a rather large scale but recently in more modest sizes. The works are often incorporated in installations. She also works with video.

Nøst is interested in human beings and their relationship to nature, in the widest sense. She uses people and attempts to create/visualise certain psychological states of mind. Sometimes she photographs in the context of the studio, and sometimes the models interact with other environments.

Her last solo-exhibition took place last Autumn at Galleri Langegaarden in Bergen, Norway.
