GUSTAV NYSTRÖM

Gustav Nyström is a pianist and composer from Finland. As an artist he is focusing on very different things at different times.

 

In 2007 he made a record with light classical music composed in Helsinki during the Romantic era. Kajsaniemi-polka.

In 2010 he composed twelve pianostudies inspired by electronica (Techno, Trance etc.). Transetyder.

In 2012 he prepared a series of lectures on classical music that will be held in Raseborg, Finland in the autumn of 2013.

 

After graduation from the Sibelius Academy in 2012, now University of the Arts Helsinki, he was artist in residence for six months in Grez sur Loing, France.

During his current stay in Rome at the Circolo Scandinavo he is working as a pianist preparing chamber music concerts in Finland, and working as a composer with his earlier works from 2010, Transetyder.

 

In collaboration with the author Pipsa Lonka, he is reshaping them into a radiodrama.
