Sigrún Eldjárn (b. 1954) is an Icelandic visual artist, writer and illustrator.
She uses drawings, prints, aquarelles and oil paintings to capture moments, things and creatures she finds interesting and of some importance.
She is a writer of childrens´ books and has published over 40 books and illustrated them all. Some of them are mainly picture-books with short narrative for small children. Others have longer text, meant for older kids but are richly illustrated all the same. What all these books have in common is humour and fantasy.
